My name is Nabila Ahmad. I use she/her pronouns. I am majoring in Criminal Justice. I am taking this class because it is required for my degree. I think this class can help me learn something different because Literature and Art is not something I usually study. I am interested to see what I can learn from this class.

I am not a very good reader or writer. Sometimes I have a hard time putting my ideas into words, especially when I have to write a lot. I am more of a watcher than a reader. I like watching movies and TV shows because I can understand the story better when I can see the characters and what is happening. I also like watching movies about crime, investigations, court cases, and the justice system because I am interested in Criminal Justice. I do not read very often, but I am willing to try different books and stories and see if I can find something I enjoy.

A movie I would choose is Anatomy of a Fall. I chose this movie because it is about a criminal case and trying to find out what really happened. Since I am studying Criminal Justice, I found the court case and the evidence in the movie interesting. I also liked how the movie showed that people can see the same situation in different ways. It made me think about how evidence and people’s opinions can affect a decision. I think it is important not to judge someone too quickly and to look at all the information before making a decision. This is one reason I think this movie connects with my interest in Criminal Justice.
