Hello, my name is Andrew Liu.
My pronouns are he/him, and I’m a computer science major (I’m not good at it).
I was born in New York, then sent to China to live with my aunt and uncle until I was about 3-4 years old where I was then sent back to my parents in America. I lived in China town for about a year then we moved to Ashland until I was 14, and then moving to Framingham.
I like reading, I don’t like writing, my favorite genres of books are probably fantasy and history books. I pick my books to read by looking at the covers/titles which is probably a bad thing.
My favorite bands to listen to are Mili and Franz Ferdinand. I don’t really have a favorite music genre I like to listen to, I just find something that sounds good to me and add it to a liked songs playlist. I do things rather impulsively, I see something I view as interesting and I start an addiction to it, to then probably drop it another week in.
My current addiction is starting to read the light novel series Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash. I remember watching the anime version around 5-6 years ago where I watched the entire series in about a day. The reason I am reading it now is because I randomly saw the light novel in my amazon recommended books when I was searching to buy school supplies and I was like “oh I remember that series”. I do remember however, that I liked the series because of the setting, a fantasy setting with a cast of characters rather than just one. The main cast are a group of people who all wake up in a place they have no connections to and have all seemed to have lost their memories. Throughout the story each character builds their own connections and unique personality. The main reason I like the series is because it feels like you’re following the story of a group of people figuring their own place in the world rather than a regular hero’s journey type of fantasy story. I however am not that far into the series so I can’t really talk about it in details.
Overall I am a rather boring person, I don’t do much except attend classes and do random stuff I find mildly interesting in my free time.
Looking forward to know you guys.
~Andrew Liu
